Outreach Activities

Chinese Language Club

Since 2023, I have been the Vice President of the Chinese Langauge Club at Clemson University! During my time, I have helped serve the President through taking attendance, creating PowerPoints, and collaborating with other clubs like the Asian Student Association and Japanese Club! My events we held were the Chopstick Competition, our Fall Festival, and our Calligraphy Night!

Clemson CHANGE (Creating Habits and Norms Guiding Ethical Decisions)

Since February 2023, I have been a part of CHANGE, which is Clemson's student ethics committee! As a member of change, I have helped with our University-Wide event that featured Robert Chestnut, who was the Chief Ethics Officer for Airbnb. Additionally, I co-wrote the fall 2024 article of Dilemma! An op-ed piece highlighting a few featured students' personal experiences with ethical dilemmas they have faced in college. Also, during spring 2024, I served as the College of Arts and Humanities Liason, where I managed $450 in prize money and held an ethical art competition during the spring's University-Wide Event. Lastly, in September 2025, I was awarded the Distinguished Ethics Scholar medallion, which is a nod to all of my previous involvement, which I will be wearing during graduation!

Conversation Language Pairs

Since Freshman year, I have been involved with the English Department in their Conversation Language Pairs, where they pair a domestic student with an international student to engage in cultural exchange. Since I have been learning Mandarin, most of my partners have been from China. It has been one of the most rewarding experiences talking to them about American culture, holidays, and other traditions while learning about theirs. The picture below is when I taught my partner how to carve a pumpkin for Halloween!

Kappa Delta Sorority

As a member of Kappa Delta since fall 2022, I have been involved with their philanthropy, which includes Prevent Child Abuse America and the Girl Scouts! Each year, we have our Shamrock 5k which raises money for these organizations. On the other hand, the sorority also hosts many social events, my favorite being our country shag called Bonfire!

Dean's Undergraduate Student Advisory Council (DUSAC)

From September 2023 to December 2024, I was personally chosen to represent the International Business and Language majors to discuss how the College of Arts and Humanities can be improved. We met monthly to discuss ways to improve the attention rate surrounding the different majors, create a freshman-year guidebook, and establish better alumni relationships.
